Every year about 10% of the population will visit their doctor for problems relating to anxiety. While medication has been traditionally prescribed for such problems, CBT is recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence as a proven effective form of treatment.  There are many different personal routes to anxiety, however what lies beneath anxiety in all its expressions is a sense of perceived threat to a person’s physical or psychological wellbeing.
